Today was another special milestone in our family’s musical journey. We finished recording Rainbow, the third song sung by my six-year-old daughter, Abigail. But what made this day truly unforgettable wasn’t just the recording—it was the story unfolding behind it.
This journey began a few years ago when Abigail was around three years old. Back then, she would sing a little, but as she grew older, she became more self-conscious. There was a time she didn’t want to sing at all. But with a little encouragement, a little push, she found her voice again. And now, here we are—recording her songs and celebrating her progress.
As we wrapped up the recording, we started preparing to film the video. I was testing different angles when my four-year-old daughter, Amy, came by. To my surprise, she showed interest in joining us. Amy loves to sing, but she’s usually shy—especially in front of people or a camera. And today was no different. She hesitated. She didn’t want to sing. And I simply recorded that moment.
Why? Because one day, Amy will sing. One day, she will stand with confidence and let her voice be heard. And on that day, I want to show her this video—to remind her that we all feel hesitant at first, but if we don’t give up, we can achieve things we once thought were impossible.
As parents, we are the prophets of our children’s future. We see what they can become, even when they can’t. We love them, guide them, and encourage them to step into their full potential.
So today, I document this moment—not just as a memory, but as a prophecy. A reminder that every journey starts with small, uncertain steps. And if we keep going, one day, we’ll look back and see just how far we’ve come.
Here’s the video—watch and celebrate this journey with us.
