HIS PRESENCE IS THE JOURNEY

You know, I think I’ve discovered something about myself.

For years, I believed I needed perfect clarity before I could move. I thought that if I just prayed a little more, planned a little more, wrote down every possible scenario, then finally I’d have enough certainty to act.

But what actually happened?

Every answer created another question.

What if this happens?

What if I get too many students?

What if I become too busy?

What if this strategy doesn’t work?

What if I should do something else?

And before I knew it, I had gone around the same mountain again… and again… and again.

Then I thought about Moses.

God calls Moses, and what does Moses do?

He doesn’t simply say yes.

He says, “What if they don’t believe me?”

“What if they ask Your name?”

“What if I can’t speak?”

“What if they won’t listen?”

Every answer from God produced another question from Moses.

And then something struck me.

God eventually stopped answering every “what if.”

Instead, He gave Moses something much greater.

He said, “I will be with you.”

In other words, God’s presence was the answer to all the unanswered questions.

That changed something in me.

Maybe faith isn’t waiting until every question is answered.

Maybe faith is moving because the One who called me is going with me.

I realized that sometimes fear disguises itself as wisdom.

It says, “Let’s just get a little more clarity.”

It sounds responsible.

It sounds spiritual.

But sometimes it’s simply fear wearing the mask of wisdom.

Now, don’t misunderstand me.

The opposite isn’t carelessness.

The opposite isn’t jumping into everything without planning.

The opposite is this:

Plan enough to be a good steward… then trust God enough to take the next step.

I don’t need a five-year guarantee before I make today’s faithful decision.

If I know what the next right step is — record the video, publish it, run the ad, serve people well — then I can do that.

And if unexpected things happen later…

I’ll trust that the same God who walked with me today will also walk with me tomorrow.

Because His presence is not just for the beginning of the journey.

His presence is the journey.
